Questions

Studio owner FAQ

I don't have a studio, I travel to teach. Can I join?

Yes. Traveling instructors are part of the network. You list your home base and how far you travel, and dancers in those ZIP codes find you. Because you teach in people's homes and venues, we ask for your experience and credentials, and we review every instructor before they go live.

I don't have a website. Is that a problem?

Not at all. Tick the box on the form and our web partner will build you a simple, beautiful page your listing links to. We'll talk you through it before anything is built.

Is it really free?

Yes. Founding Studios are listed free for a full year from approval. We want to prove we can send you students before we ever talk about money.

What happens after the first year?

We'll show you exactly how many dancers saw, called and visited you from 877EZDANCE. Your basic listing (name, city and styles) stays free for good. Members keep the clickable website link, phone and email, and get priority placement in search. You choose, with the numbers in front of you.

Where do the referrals come from?

From dancers searching our studio finder, from people who call 877-EZ-DANCE when they're moving, and from the 877EZDANCE programs running in community centers.

Can I update my listing?

Of course. Email info@garrygekhman.com or call 877-393-2623 and we'll update it the same week.

Who is behind 877EZDANCE?

877EZDANCE was founded by Garry Gekhman, 2007 US Professional Ballroom Champion and owner of Tysons Ballroom & DanceSport Center in Vienna, Virginia, and is a program of the Garry Gekhman Foundation, a 501(c)(3).
